  • Social Studies is a concept over two separate ideas: history and geography. Although, there are reasons for having them called Social Studies, there is a deeper meaning.

  • History is the study of the past while geography is the study of the world.

World History Examples

  • We can easily relate to the past by discussing about the events that were significant.

  • For example, the world wars one and two can tell us about the geographical coordinates and the main events that occurred during the wars.

  • For instances, we know how Germany took over France using a secret attack that tricked the French people into thinking that the war was located somewhere else.

  • Another instance is when Sweden had an agreement for German to take their land.

Other Information
